Math!
The new semester is starting, and I'm getting really excited because I'm about to be a TA for the first time. I spoke with the course instructor today, and I'm reassured that things will go well. In addition to being a nice guy who seems to care about his students, he gave me a bit of a speech about how it's okay for me to be nervous about TAing for the first time, and even he gets nervous after 40 years of teaching, and that if I ever have a problem with a student to tell him so he or the department head can take care of it. Although I am a bit nervous (who wouldn't be), I'm sure things will be absolutely fine and don't really need such a speech - but it's nice to know that I'm working with someone who really cares about the students...and me :-)

Good luck! I'm sure you'll do fine. The nerves will be gone before the end of your first class :)
